I think that riding a fixed gear bike should reveal a certain degree of creativity, in other words, there's something creative in approaching a quite common element such as a bike in that particular way.

My mother used to say "no brakes = no teeth". My mother can't skid...

To all of you fixed riders out there, genius of non-routine, please, try not to betray this faith in creativity.
